Mood Watch App Launches Global Campaign for Mental Health

Available in 11 Languages to Combat Mood Disorders Worldwide; Partners With International Bipolar Foundation on Free Mental Health Seminar/Webinar in Honor of Mental Health Awareness Month

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - May 02, 2013) - Mood Watch, a new mobile app that empowers people with mood disorders like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder with tools that can help them live happier and more productive lives, announced today the launch of its "Mental Health Is For Everyone" initiative with the upcoming availability of Mood Watch in 10 new languages by May 9, 2013 -- Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Macedonian, Spanish, Ukrainian and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).

Currently available in English, Mood Watch can be purchased for $0.99 in the App Store and Google Play Store. The app gives people worldwide the ability to easily track a variety of mood states for personal reflection, or for discussion with a physician or therapist. Mood Watch also helps users remember to take their medications and supplements by allowing them to schedule alarms that serve as personal reminders.

"The most important message behind Mood Watch is that mental health is for everyone, not just for those affected by a mental illness," said Kimberly Knox, Mood Watch creator. "Tracking one's feelings throughout the day, every day, empowers people with mood disorders -- or anyone who wants to keep track of their mental, emotional and physical health -- the opportunity to be able to make choices they may never have even known they had."

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month beginning May 1st in the U.S., Mood Watch creator, Kimberly Knox, will be the keynote speaker for the International Bipolar Foundation's Mental Health Lecture Series on May 9th where she will present a free, live seminar and webinar entitled, "Meditation, Medication and Magic." Focusing on the various ways Mood Watch can help people take charge of their mental, emotional and physical health, the seminar will take place at the Sanford Children's Research Center in San Diego, California. To register to attend the seminar in person please click here. To view Ms. Knox's lecture online at 6:00 p.m. PDT visit

For those new to Mood Watch, the app works by giving users the easy ability to track how they feel mentally, emotionally and physically by answering a short set of questions, tracking their sleep quality, blood pressure and meditation. Next users can rate their anxiety level, mood, level of calmness, mindfulness and energy level in the morning, at noon and at night. Personal notes can also be added to lend valuable retrospective insight. Upon completion, a report can be generated at the click of a button detailing the week's information. Reports created by Mood Watch are saved in-app, and can be printed for personal reflection, or emailed to a physician or therapist for further discussion. Two short videos demonstrating how Mood Watch works, and the story behind its inception can be viewed on the Mood Watch YouTube channel.
