MOOV is Innovating With an Entirely New Category of Frozen Premium Fruit

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - April 3, 2012) - Just in time for Easter, MOOV is first in Canada to launch a completely new category of gourmet frozen fruits: raspberries dipped in white chocolate and strawberries dipped in dark chocolate containing 70% cocoa.

Whether as a last-minute desert or a snack, these fruits are a handy treat and a true pleasure without the guilt. With the same quality that has earned MOOV frozen products their notoriety, these premium fruits are grown, harvested and sorted with care and then coated in fine chocolate, handcrafted by genuine Belgian chocolatiers, to create an original product at less than 100 calories per 40 g serving.

"We wanted to put our frozen food know-how to work to create an innovative product, enhancing the smooth texture and gourmet taste of Belgian chocolate with the juiciness and natural sweetness of our fruit," explained Patrick Goguillon, Chief Executive Officer of Alasko Foods Inc. "The ability to create a completely new category and combine these ingredients are testimony to our company's investment in innovation."

For best results, the product should be thawed at least 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

Sold in 227 g packages, the products retail for about $6 and are available in major grocers across Canada such as Loblaws, Provigo, Maxi, Real Canadian & Atlantic Superstores, Sobey's, IGA, Marché Tradition, Bonichoix, Rachelle-Berry, Quality Foods and Safeway.
