MOP and HELP Form Strategic Alliance

MOP and HELP Alliance Combines On-Scene Response With the Full Range Manufacturing of Green Oil Spill Response Products

BATH, NH--(Marketwire - September 14, 2010) - MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: MOPN) and Homeland Environmental Logistical Partners, LTD., (HELP) today announced a first of its kind alliance in the oil spill response industry. Five representatives of HELP met at the offices of MOP Environmental Solutions to tour the facility and to conduct a Strategic Planning Session on Monday, September 13, 2010. MOP and HELP will be working together to merge and cross market each other's products together with a rapid response capability. This will include response to oil spill-related emergencies and training to help companies develop more sustainable oil spill management and response plans. Client companies will be offered the most environmentally friendly oil spill response products available to have on hand plus full contingency training.

  • In this alliance, no dilution of equity is involved. It is strictly based on product profits.
  • The two companies working together are able to provide immediate on-scene response, offering products as a combined Responder/Manufacturer for the first time.
  • Eliminates the status quo of spill response companies presently using inefficient products to drive up their profits. Replacing this approach with a performance based and environmental protection prioritized, rapid response.
  • The result is the highest competitive performance oil-spill response at the lowest cost.

One great benefit to MOP is immediate participation with Homeland Environmental Logistical Partners in their ongoing activities with existing accounts and vice versa. One such account involves a 600 ton oil spill in Israel's Dead Sea area. In this example MOP will be the product of choice for the oil spill recovery effort.

A number of domestic projects are being bid on that could result in as much as a decade of ongoing activity of oil recovery.

"We are very excited about this partnership," said MOP CEO and President Charles Diamond. "In addition to the MOP and HELP complement of products, there is the combined access to specific known oil spills scheduled for response within the coming months. Together our products can provide a wider range of response options than either product would otherwise offer. Together they hold the promise of changing the First Response paradigm from a slow, labor intensive, costly and environmentally questionable approach, using toxic dispersants and ineffective booms, to now having environmentally safe high performance MOP Maximum Oil Pickup sorbent and Petrotech 25 environmentally safe dispersant. The new paradigm offers oil recovery wherever possible with MOP and an all-natural dispersant that accelerates the natural process of bio-remediation for rapid breakdown of spilled oil where recovery of oil is not an option.

"Additionally," said Diamond, "Petrotech 25 offers a powerful hydrocarbon fire suppression technology, odor elimination and together with MOP, soil remediation that will help us to dramatically strengthen our vertical markets."

Both companies expect to carry one another's products, to collaborate on consulting ventures and spill response and to utilize their individual distribution systems for mutual benefit.

Diamond continued, "We believe our 56 country distribution network and HELP's own network will strengthen our Global marketing position."

"We see this Alliance as the optimum response to what we expect will be a period of national soul-searching after the disaster in the Gulf," said Lawrence Gallo, HELP's Chief Executive Officer. "The country will be searching for a more effective response to future accidents and we plan to be at the forefront in offering this sustainable, affordable and effective approach."
