Moran Edwards Asset Management Group Recognized by Lipper as Number One on Annual World's Best Money Manager List

NAPLES, FL--(Marketwire - Jan 20, 2012) - Lipper, a Thomson Reuters company, ranked Moran Edwards Asset Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors number one for its Strategic Equity Blend portfolio. The portfolio, which is managed by Bob Edwards, Managing Director - Investments Senior PIM Portfolio Manager, was ranked number one out of 107 portfolios and has outperformed all others for a consecutive 10 year period through September 30, 2011.

"We are extremely pleased to be named number one in the 10 year category. We hoped to make the top 20 and maybe even the top 10. To be recognized by Lipper, the global leader in mutual fund information for advisors, is an honor," said Bob Edwards. "This particular portfolio is built based on one third growth stock, one third value stock and one third in vogue stock, meaning the stock is currently in favor at that time -- as certain technology stock is today. It has been one of our most popular styles with families and even with brokers who have suggested it for clients and have invested in it themselves."

A financial advisor for 29 years, Edwards has earned numerous national and local recognitions including being recognized by Barron's Magazine as one of America's Top 1,000 Financial Advisors for 2011. He has been consistently listed locally in Gulfshore Life Magazine as one of Southwest Florida's "Five Star Financial Wealth Managers." In addition to advising an affluent clientele in Naples, Bob counsels other wealth managers and has been a frequent industry speaker at conferences for financial professionals in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Orlando, Philadelphia, and San Diego.
