More Gold Drilled At Anatolia's 100% Owned Copler

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - June 21, 2005) -

Marble Contact CRC-334A cuts 73 meters @ 3.0 gpt gold; RCD-340 cuts 30 meters @ 9.3 gpt gold, with 8 meters @ +1 opt gold. Manganese Mine CRC-346 cuts 139 meters @ 3.5 gpt gold; CRC-333 cuts 71 meters @ 4.3 gpt gold; CRC-361 cuts 55 meters @ 5.6 gpt gold.

Anatolia Minerals Development Limited (TSX:ANO)("Anatolia") is pleased to announce assay returns from both the Marble Contact Zone and the Manganese Mine Zone at its 100% owned Copler Gold Project. This drill program aims to expand the current 4-million-ounce inferred resource (44 million tonnes @ 2.9 gpt gold), infill drill the Marble Contact and Manganese Mine oxides and condemnation drill planned facilities sites. Drilling is expected to run through mid-2005. The maps attached to this news release and detailed assay results will be posted to Anatolia's web site (www.anatolia-minerals.com).

By May 31, 123 reverse-circulation holes and 18 diamond core holes aggregating 24,372 meters had been completed for 2005, primarily in the Manganese Mine Zone, with results received for 136 holes. Initial drilling focused on the Manganese Mine Zone, but is also progressing at the nearby Marble Contact Zone. Some 5,277 meters were drilled in May (4,905 meters RC and 372 meters DD), with summary results for assays received given below (generally oxides, unless noted):

Holes CDD-90, CDD-93, CRC-322, CRC-325, CRC-326, CRC-336, CRC-338, CRC-339, CRC-342, CRC-343, CRC-344, CRC-345, CRC-348 and CRC-350 had mostly thin intervals of potential heap leach material.

Richard C. Moores, President of Anatolia, stated, "We continue to cut high-grade mineralization (15 to +30 gpt gold) in the northern part of the Marble Contact Zone and good thicknesses of low to moderate grades to the south. The northeast-trending +100-meter wide zone between CRC-1A (82 meters @ 10.4 gpt gold) and CRC-263 (27 meters @ 42.5 gpt gold, plus 20 meters @ 6.8 gpt gold) is filling in nicely. This drilling campaign has extended the Marble Contact Zone beyond that indicated from previous drilling."

Mr. Moores continued: "Delineation of the predictable, gold-rich manto (blanket) in the Manganese Mine Zone will be reflected in our next resource update. Drill holes have intersected this gold-rich manto over an approximate +200 meter by +500 meter area, remaining open to the Northwest, West and South. Drilling continues to extend and infill both the manto and a halo of low to intermediate grade gold mineralization extending in marble for more than 200 meters beyond the manto. We are particularly gratified that so many of the holes in both the manto and in the north half of the Marble Contact Zone contain intervals that many people consider high grade and that these intersections appear to be just a normal part of the population of our deposit. We anticipate the results of our current program will have a positive impact on both resource size and grade in the upcoming resource update."

Anatolia is advancing the feasibility study for the oxide portion of the resource. In December 2004, a study by Hellman & Schofield Pty Ltd estimated a 0.4 million measured and indicated ounce oxide gold resource (5.5 million tonnes @ 2.0 gpt gold) plus a 1.1 million ounce inferred oxide gold resource (13.3 million tonnes @ 2.6 gpt gold). Metallurgical tests indicate the leachability of this resource (+80% in the Main and Marble Contact Zones and approximately 90% in the Manganese Mine Zone). Additional metallurgical testing of oxides, continuation of baseline environmental studies, project design and facilities siting studies are proceeding as planned. Anatolia expects to complete a resource update later this year and a feasibility study early in 2006.

Anatolia has been engaged in minerals exploration in Turkey since 1996. In January 2004, Anatolia increased to 100% its interest in the 4-million ounce inferred gold resource at Copler. Anatolia is Anatolia Minerals Development Limited fast-tracking work at Copler to achieve an early production decision for an open pit gold operation for the shallow leachable oxide portion of Copler. The Company also controls approximately 1.1 million hectares within Turkey, including four properties currently under joint exploration with Rio Tinto. The Rio Tinto agreement continues through 2007 and requires payment by Rio Tinto of expenditures for grassroots programs, specific prospect costs in which Rio Tinto is participating, and portions of Anatolia's Turkish field office expenses.

Anatolia currently has 49.5 million common shares issued and outstanding, 57.8 million fully diluted.

Anatolia trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange as ANO.
