More Than 100 Million People Have Signed Up to Connect With Advertisers and Local Businesses via Pontiflex's Mobile Ad Platform

Massive Growth Shows That Signup Ads Are Solution to Mobile Advertising Problem

BROOKLYN, NY--(Marketwire - Aug 22, 2012) -  Pontiflex announced today that more than 100 million people have signed up to connect with brands and small businesses they like via their mobile signup ads platform. Advertisers using mobile signup ads include leading national brands like Disney, Hasbro, Levi's and Southwest Airlines. In addition, local businesses such as One Click Ventures, Sickweather.com, Paper Hat Press and many others are using signup ads to run local mobile campaigns. Ads run on thousands of iOS and Android apps such as Color Effects, iFishing, TuneMe, Where's My Droid and many others. Those app developers are using signup ads to monetize their apps and make CPMs 50-100X the industry average.

Signup ads enable people to opt-in to hear from the brands they like without leaving a mobile app. Advertisers pay only for valid signups and never for wasted clicks or impressions. Developers get paid for every signup. They can make real money on their apps while at the same time providing a non-disruptive user experience.

Because signup ads provide people with a respectful and non-disruptive user experience in mobile apps, they work well for advertisers and app developers.

"Making mobile ads work for everyone involved -- users, app developers and advertisers is a big challenge. Even the biggest companies are struggling with it," said Zephrin Lasker, CEO and Co-Founder, Pontiflex. "There have been a lot of doubts about whether mobile ads can really work. Today's milestone is proof that of just how well signup ads work for all parties involved."

Signup ads solve the problem posed by click-based mobile advertising models that are widely prevalent in the industry. A 2011 Harris Interactive survey revealed that nearly half of US smartphone owners clicked on ads more often by mistake than they do on purpose. The high percentage of accidental clicks makes it difficult for advertisers to get ROI from their mobile advertising budgets. With signup ads, advertisers pay only for actual signups. They never pay for wasted clicks or impressions.

In March 2011, Pontiflex launched the AdLeads self-serve mobile signup ad platform for local businesses. The AdLeads platform allows local businesses to run geo-targeted mobile signup advertising campaigns on iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Just as they would for a search advertising campaign, businesses and agencies can create an account, specify geo-targeting, create ad groups, design creative and launch mobile signup advertising campaigns in minutes using the AdLeads platform. But instead of paying every time someone clicks on their ad, they only pay when someone signs up and shares their contact information.

Nita Nita, a popular restaurant in Brooklyn, New York, is a small business using AdLeads to connect with patrons.

"Being able to reach people in NYC on mobile devices while they're out on the town or making plans for the night really helps promote specials and our events," said Sam DiStefano, Owner, Nita Nita.

Serving signup ads also enables developers and networks to increase advertising CPMs, thereby addressing a major pain point in the mobile industry. According to a report released by SMAATO in 2011, average mobile CPMs are often as low as 50 cents. With mobile signup ads, users can opt-in to ads without leaving an app. Consequently, more people interact with the ads, and the developers make higher CPMs. To date, Android and iOS developers are reporting CPMs in the $10-$25 range from signup ads.

"We chose to integrate Pontiflex AppLeads into our application because of Pontiflex's great user experience and the ability to deliver high eCPMs," said Brad Degelau, the 19-year-old creator of Where's My Droid. "In a very short time, Pontiflex AppLeads provided an incredible source of income for me, allowing me to quit my day job at Walmart and focus on my role full-time as an app developer."

AdLeads mobile signup ads are currently being served in twenty-seven countries around the world.
