LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - August 3, 2009) - More than 100 leading private equity firms, banks and other sources of corporate finance will participate in the Capital Connection event at the 2009 ACG Los Angeles Business Conference, September 15 and 16 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.

"The involvement of so many major providers of capital at a time of economic uncertainty is a clear indication that these sophisticated financial professionals see value in participating in this conference as they tackle the current environment and prepare for an eventual resurgence of strength in our economy," said Jeri Harman, Managing Partner, Avante Mezzanine Partners and Co-Chair of the ACG LA Conference.

The Capital Connection is an opportunity for intensive networking between corporate executives seeking capital and representatives of firms from across the nation that have capital available. The participants in the ACG LA Conference Capital Connection collectively represent approximately $100 billion in available financing.

The Capital Connection will be held on the first day of the two-day Conference. The rest of the program includes keynote speeches by globally renowned figures from government and the business world, along with technical sessions and workshops on finance and corporate growth, as well as informal networking opportunities.

Keynote speakers will include Paul Volcker, Chairman of President Obama's Economic Recovery Advisory Board and former Chairman of the Federal Reserve System, and Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of State from 2005 to 2009.

Mr. Volcker, a key economic advisor to President Obama, was named Chairman of the Advisory Board created by the President to encourage innovative approaches for dealing with the global economic crisis. He served as Chairman of the Federal Reserve under President Carter, and was reappointed by President Reagan, leading the Fed from 1979 to 1987. He then became chairman of the investment banking firm J. Rothschild, Wolfensohn & Co.

Ms. Rice, in addition to her service as America's chief diplomat under President George W. Bush, was the National Security Advisor to President Bush from January 2001 to 2005.

Now in its 12th year, the ACG Los Angeles Business Conference is the premier West Coast event focusing on corporate finance and M&A activity for middle-market companies. More than 1,500 corporate executives and professionals from across the country and abroad are expected to attend.
