More Than 26,000 Fans Attend Day 2 of CIS FINAL 8 Men's Basketball Championship, Presented by Milk

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 14, 2009) - In conjunction with Canadian Interuniversity Sport and Scotiabank Place, the host organizing committee for the 2009 CIS Final 8 Men's Basketball Championship presented by Milk this evening announced that 26,484 fans attended the tournament's semifinal sessions at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa. Today's figure brings the two-day total to 57,274. More than 12,000 tickets have already been sold for Sunday's final session.

Two teams remain in the hunt for the W.P. McGee Trophy, which will be presented to the national champion following Sunday's final between the Carleton University Ravens and the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds.
