More Than 60 Unemployed Job-Seekers Sign up for nSight Training Workshops

nSight and The Career Place Collaborate to Screen and Qualify Prospective Students to Take nSight's Highly Effective Training Workshops

BURLINGTON, MA--(Marketwire - October 14, 2010) -  nSight, Inc., a content development and communications services firm, today announced that through a partnership with The Career Place, a Woburn-based employment and career services center, more than 60 unemployed Greater Boston residents have been screened and enrolled in nSight's training workshops.

Since August, nSight has reserved 25 percent of the seats at its public workshops for unemployed individuals, free of charge, as part of its innovative Training Rewards Program. Through its recruitment and assessment resources, The Career Place has outreached to and screened unemployed, adult job-seekers interested in attending nSight's workshops in writing, editing, design, or production.

nSight and The Career Place, a Massachusetts One-Stop Career Center chartered by the Metro North Regional Employment Board and managed by Middlesex Community College, are on pace to screen and register for the training courses more than 100 unemployed individuals by the end of 2010.

It's a very generous offer to set aside these workshop seats for unemployed people."

"We applaud nSight and The Career Place for forming a partnership that exemplifies the mutual benefits that can be attained through innovative public-private sector collaboration," said Nancy Brown, executive director of the Metro North Regional Employment Board. "This program will assist many Metro North residents in developing skills that will help them to compete in today's rapidly evolving global economy, while at the same time serve local businesses by cultivating a pool of skilled workers in an in-demand industry."
