Moto Goldmines Limited: Further Significant Results From Ongoing Infill / Extension Diamond Drill Programme

PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 30, 2008) - Moto Goldmines Limited ("Moto") (TSX:MGL)(AIM:MOE) announced today that the contiguous Durba / Chauffeur / Karagba deposits again demonstrate their potential with further significant results from the ongoing infill and extensional diamond drill programme. Results from the Chauffeur mineralized zone including:

- 60m at 5.41 g/t Au from 150m to 210m,

- 34m at 4.00 g/t Au from 268m to 302m,

- 82m at 1.84 g/t Au from 93m to 175m,

- 26m at 6.78 g/t Au from 202m to 228m,

- 72m at 2.90 g/t Au from 165m to 237m,

- 14m at 11.16 g/t Au from 46m to 60m,

- 48m at 3.75 g/t Au from 252m to 300m,

- 38m at 5.72 g/t Au from 314m to 352m,

- 28m at 5.64 g/t Au from 404m to 432m and

- 76m at 7.77 g/t Au from 317m to 393m.

Drillng to the west of the main Chauffeur mineralised zone returned significant results including:

- 30m at 5.05 g/t Au from 0m to 30m,

- 40m at 9.14 g/t Au from 96m to 136m and

- 38.1m at 5.31 g/t Au from 77.9m to 116m.

The Sessenge Deeps mineralised zone returned significant intercepts including:

- 48m at 10.22 g/t Au from 518m to 566m,

- 50m at 6.17 g/t Au from 479m to 529m,

- 50m at 6.53 g/t Au from 471m to 521m,

- 62m at 4.71 g/t Au from 484m to 546m,

- 16m at 11.72 g/t Au from 484m to 500m,

- 50m at 13.87 g/t Au from 472m to 522m,

- 8m at 12.58 g/t Au from 472m to 480m and

- 28m at 6.17 g/t Au from 488m to 516m.

In December 2007, the Feasibility Study ("FS") of the Moto Gold project was published. The FS further supports the Company's view to progress the project. In December 2007, the Company announced, as part of the FS, that independent geological consultants Cube Consulting Pty Limited ("Cube Consulting") estimated indicated resources of 77.8 million tonnes at 2.8 g/t Au for 7.0 million ounces of gold and inferred resources of 98.9 million tonnes at 3.8 g/t Au for 12.1 million ounces of gold.

The present round of drilling has been undertaken to extend the known Durba/Chauffeur/Karagba mineralised zones down plunge and provide more information on the deeper mineralization at Sessenge Deeps for the purposes of an underground mining assessment.

DURBA / CHAUFFEUR / KARAGBA

This set of stacked deposits continues to demonstrate the potential of the Moto Gold Project.

Significant intercepts from recent infill drilling include: 60m at 5.41 g/t Au from 150m to 210m and 34m at 4.00 g/t Au from 268m to 302m in DDD242, 76m at 7.77 g/t Au from 317m to 393m in DDD269, 26m at 6.78 g/t Au from 202m to 228m in DDD292, 72m at 2.90 g/t Au from 165m to 237m in DDD206, 14m at 11.16 g/t Au from 46m to 60m in DDD207, 48m at 3.75 g/t Au from 252m to 300m in DDD220, 38m at 5.27 g/t Au from 314m to 352m in DDD226, 28m at 5.64 g/t Au from 404m to 432m in DDD262.

Further drilling 275m to the northwest of the main Chauffeur mineralization on the edge of the designed pit has returned significant intercepts including: 30m at 5.05 g/t Au from 0m to 30m in DDD223, 40m at 9.14 g/t Au from 96m to 136m in DDD235 and 38.1m at 5.31 g/t Au from 77.9m to 116m in DDD253.

The December 2007 FS resource modelling by Cube Consulting included estimations on these mineralised zones as follows. At Karagba indicated resources of 7.96 million tonnes at 2.7 g/t for 691,000 ounces of gold and inferred resources of 21.8 million tonnes at 3.1 g/t Au for 2.151 million ounces of gold, at Chauffeur indicated resources of 25.51 million tonnes at 3.3 g/t Au for 2.695 million ounces of gold and inferred resources of 24.47 million tonnes at 5.8 g/t Au for 4.427 million ounces of gold and at Durba indicated resources of 2.65 million tonnes at 3.3 g/t Au for 277,000 ounces of gold and inferred resources of 3.13 million tonnes at 2.3 g/t Au for 238,000 ounces of gold.

Significant results received and not previously reported for Durba-Chauffeur-Karagba are summarised in Table 1.

SESSENGE DEEPS

Further significant results have been returned from this mineralized zone which has been specifically targeted to allow an underground assessment to commence. These include: 16m at 11.72 g/t Au from 484m to 500m in DDD240, 58m at 3.37 g/t Au from 466m to 524m in DDD242, 50m at 13.87 g/t Au from 472m to 522m in DDD243 (including 6m at 41.03 g/t Au from 472m and 2m at 38.73 g/t Au from 490m cut to 30 g/t Au), 8m at 12.58 g/t Au from 472m to 480m and 28m at 6.17 g/t Au from 488m to 516m in DDD293, 48m at 10.22 g/t Au from 518m to 566m in DDD031 (deepened original hole), 50m at 6.17 g/t Au from 479m to 529m DDD169 (deepened original hole), 50m at 6.53 g/t Au from 471m to 521m in DDD206, and 62m at 4.71 g/t Au from 484m to 546m in DDD220.

Significant results received from drilling at Sessenge Deeps are included in Table 1, Durba / Chauffeur / Karagba.

PAKAKA

Drilling was completed as part of a recommended infill programme in order to trace the down plunge portion of the southern mineralised shoot. Significant intercepts include: 12m at 8.49 g/t Au from 72m to 84m in PDD111, 6m at 20.06 g/t Au from 80m to 86m in PDD114 and 16m at 5.47 g/t Au from 78m to 94m in PDD117 (including 2m at 64.95 g/t Au from 88m to 90m, cut to 30 g/t Au). Significant results received from drilling at Pakaka are included in Table 2.

AERODROME

Infill RC drilling and follow up diamond drilling has been completed at this prospect to define the mineralised zone. All diamond drill holes have been completed. Significant intercepts include: 24m at 2.30 g/t Au from 38m to 62m in AEDD001 and 30m at 2.63 g/t Au from 70m to 100m in AEDD035, 36m at 4.59 g/t Au from 66m to 102m in AERC062, 38m at 2.67 g/t Au from 90m to 128m in AERC073 and 32m at 3.37 g/t Au from 56m to 88m in AERC083.

Significant results received from drilling at Aerodrome are included in Table 3.

TENURE

Moto continues to wait for the formal publication of the report of a commission set up to review 60 mining agreements entered into by the para-statal companies of the DRC Government and the timetable for its release remains unclear. As far as Moto is aware, the Commission's report may include recommendations, which will apply to most mining companies, that certain financial terms of the partnerships be renegotiated. In the meantime, Moto is seeking to finalize discussions in relation to a draft consolidated lease pursuant to the terms of the protocol agreed between OKIMO and Borgakim Mining sprl, (a Moto subsidiary), in November 2006 ("November 2006 Protocol").

On 31 December 2007, Moto announced conditional agreements with Orgaman which will see Moto simplify its joint venture arrangements and increase its interest in the Moto Gold Project to 70% by acquiring Orgaman's 10% interest for aggregate consideration of approximately US$34.6 million, comprising 9,319,211 common shares in Moto (to be issued at C$2.93 per share) and a cash payment of approximately US$7.5 million to repay shareholder loans made by Orgaman to Borgakim Mining sprl ("Borgakim") and the other subsidiary companies through which the Moto Gold Project is held, plus interest on the cash element from signing to completion. Completion of this transaction is expected to occur on or about 30 January 2008.

Glossary of Terms

"Au" The Periodic Table abbreviation for the element of
gold.

"diamond drilling" This technique involves a pipe encrusted in industrial
diamonds being used to drill through rock layers, with
a "core" of rock being left in the centre of the pipe.
The "core" of rock can be retrieved for logging and
sampling.

"Feasibility Study" A 'Feasibility Study' is a comprehensive study of a
deposit in which all geological, engineering,
operating, economic and other relevant factors are
considered in sufficient detail that it could
reasonably serve as the basis for a final decision by
a financial institution to finance the development of
the deposit for mineral production (NI 43-101, Section
1.2 Definitions).

"indicated resource" An "indicated resource" is that part of a mineral
resource for which quantity, grade or quality,
densities, shape and physical characteristics can be
estimated with a level of confidence sufficient to
allow the appropriate application of technical and
economic parameters, to support mine planning and
evaluation of the economic viability of the deposit.
The estimate is based on detailed and reliable
exploration and testing information gathered through
appropriate techniques from locations such as
outcrops, trenches, pits, workings and drill holes
that are spaced closely enough for geological and
grade continuity to be reasonably assumed.

"inferred resource" An "inferred resource" is that part of a mineral
resource for which quantity and grade or quality can
be estimated on the basis of geological evidence and
limited sampling and reasonably assumed, but not
verified, geological and grade continuity. The
estimate is based on limited information and sampling
gathered through appropriate techniques from locations
such as outcrops, trenches, pits, workings and drill
holes.

"JORC Code" The Australasian Code for Reporting of Mineral
Resources and Ore Reserves, prepared by the Joint Ore
Reserves Committee of the Australasian Institute of
Mining and Metallurgy, Australian Institute of
Geoscientists and Minerals Council of Australia.

"mineral resource"
or "resource" A 'mineral resource' is a concentration or occurrence
of diamonds, natural solid inorganic material, or
natural solid fossilized organic material including
base and precious metals, coal, and industrial
minerals in or on the Earth's crust in such form and
quantity and of such a grade or quality that it has
reasonable prospects for economic extraction. The
location, quantity, grade, geological characteristics
and continuity of a Mineral Resource are known,
estimated or interpreted from specific geological
evidence and knowledge.

"Qualified Person" A 'Qualified Person' means an individual who is an
engineer or geoscientist with at least five years of
experience in mineral exploration, mine development or
operation or mineral project assessment, or any
combination of these; has experience relevant to the
subject matter of the mineral project and the
technical report; and is a member or licensee in good
standing of a professional association.

"RC drilling" This technique employs a dual walled string of drill
rods, with a compressed air driven percussion hammer
at the end of the drill string. The type of hammer
used at Moto is known as a "Center Sample Hammer" with
a hollow center that allows the sample to pass into
the dual wall drill pipe right at the face of the
drill bit. The rock fragments will be taken up and
will pass through hollow tubing, until the chippings
and fluids reach a "cyclone." The cyclone separates
out the rock fragments from the drill medium and
presents them to a sampling device.
