Mountain Capital Inc.: 2008 Exploration Program Results on Kalum Property, British Columbia

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 12, 2008) - Mountain Capital Inc. (the "Company" or "MCI") (TSX VENTURE:MCI) is pleased to announce the completion of an exploration work program on the BURN area of the Kalum Property, located 30 km north of Terrace, British Columbia.

The Kalum Property consists of 46 mineral tenures totalling 20,762 hectares and is the subject of an option agreement with Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. ("EPR"). Pursuant to the option agreement with EPR, the Company must, over a five year period, make cash payments to EPR totalling $500,000 of which $25,000 has already been paid, by issuing an aggregate of 500,000 common shares of MCI of which 50,000 shares have already been issued, and by carrying out $4,000,000 in exploration expenditures on the Kalum Property in order for the Company to earn a 60% interest in the Kalum Property.

The just completed exploration program is anticipated to cost approximately $305,000.00 and consisted of:

1. Collection of 55 soil samples for geochemical analysis.

2. Line cutting -5.4 line kms.

3. I.P Survey (3 D) - 4.1 line kms.

4. Diamond Drilling - 1,390 metres.

The results of the soils geochemical survey indicated a weak correlation and expansion of the previously indicated anomalous gold in soil area partially indicated by previous Eagle Plains work.

The I.P. survey was forced to be terminated before completion of the targeted line kms by torrential rains, but was successful in indicating an unexpected flat lying orientation to the targeted granodiorite intrusive that was known to host gold mineralization. Extremely high chargeabilities of up to 50 milliseconds reflected the pervasive disseminated and shear / quartz vein hosted pyrite content in the intrusive which is underlain by black argillite.

The diamond drilling program consisted of 11 NQ diamond drill holes totalling 1,390 metres. This drilling was targeted at known shear / quartz vein bearing structures within the highly altered granodiorite and accompanied by anomalous I.P. data. The following table of analytical data indicates that there is widespread weakly disseminated gold mineralization within the granodiorite intrusive.
