BEIJING, CHINA--(Marketwired - May 8, 2013) - Mountain China Resorts (Holding) Limited (TSX VENTURE:MCG) ("MCR" or the "Company"), on May 2, 2013 the Company announced that the filing of its annual financial statements, management's discussion and analysis, and the related officer certifications for the financial year ended December 31, 2012 (collectively, the "Annual Filings") had been delayed beyond the filing deadline of April 30, 2013. The Company's auditors advised that the audit work and a draft audit report have been substantially completed. Accordingly, the Company intends to hold an audit committee meeting and a board of directors meeting to approve the Annual Filings.
The Company anticipates that it will be able to file the Annual Filings by the end of the business day on Friday May 10, 2012.
The Company intends to follow the provisions of the Alternative Information Guidelines as set out in National Policy 12-203-Cease Trade Orders for Continuous Disclosure Defaults, for as long as MCR remains in default, including the issuance of further by-weekly default status reports, each of which will be issued in the form of a press release. A general cease trade order may be issued as a result of the Company's default status.
