Mountain Medical Chooses Medicalis' Radiology Workflow Solution to Optimize Productivity and Quality Across Its Reading Enterprise

SAN FRANCISCO, CA and SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - Nov 29, 2011) - Medicalis and Mountain Medical announced today that Mountain Medical has chosen the Medicalis Enterprise Worklist solution as the platform to integrate seamless workflow across their 15 reading sites and 800,000 studies throughout Utah.

Mountain Medical's 65 radiologists work with multiple Picture Archive Communication Systems (PACS) and Radiology Information Systems (RIS) across their reading enterprise. The group's challenge has been to balance workflow between the larger and smaller Mountain Medical reading sites as they grow and expand their practice.

"We are excited to implement the Medicalis solution across our network," said Ronald Ruff, M.D. and President of Mountain Medical. This will allow us to continue improvements to our quality of service and optimize the use of subspecialty radiologists across our sites without any constraints to location or host system. Additionally, the professional workflow solution will make peer review, critical results reporting, radiologist credentialing, and reporting more streamlined and automated as part of daily work."

The Medicalis solution balances imaging volume across radiologists regardless of their geographic location or chosen imaging workstation, and it provides access to all images and studies. It consolidates patient history across systems with integrated peer review and critical results reporting, which meets all Joint Commission requirements.

"The introduction of Medicalis' solution with its rich analytics will give us an enterprise view of all our key business and quality metrics, empowering us to exceed our customer expectations, while optimizing all of our resources as we anticipate all the changes ahead of us," said Clark Davis, CEO, Mountain Medical.

The foundation of Medicalis' radiologist workflow solution, called the "Professional Solution," is the culmination of a technology platform utilized by the leading OEMs in the healthcare imaging industry coupled with the design requirements of leading-edge radiology groups that took their workflow beyond the basic use case of going filmless.

"We are very excited that Mountain Medical has chosen Medicalis to partner with as they strive to provide the highest quality, best customer service in an environment of ever-increasing complexity and re-imbursement pressure," said Oran Muduroglu, President and CEO of Medicalis.

Medicalis will highlight the next generation radiology workflow project that is being implemented, as well as its latest solutions, at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 97th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting at McCormick Place in Chicago, November 27-December 2, 2011, in booth #2847, South Building, Hall A.
