Movember Request for Applications -- $8M for Mental Health and Wellbeing Projects for Canadian Men and Boys

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - April 08, 2014) - The Movember Foundation is proud to announce a Request for Application (RFA) for male mental health projects. $8M has been allocated to this RFA seeking collaborative projects that will improve the mental health and wellbeing of men and boys. This RFA includes a two-step application process with Letters of Intent (LOI) due May 9, 2014 5PM EDT.

Applications with a focus on prevention, early intervention, and stigma reduction that address one or more of the following priority areas identified by The Movember Foundation are welcome,

  • Creating mentally healthy workplaces and workers
  • Strengthening the mental health and wellbeing of men and boys
  • Reducing the number of men and boys who die by suicide
  • Strengthening social and emotional skills in young men and boys

Applicants must submit their LOI electronically by May 9 2014 5PM EDT. All LOI will be subject to peer review, with the peer review panel comprising members with relevant national and international expertise. Final applications for those invited to submit full proposals will be due August 8, 2014 5PM EDT. The earliest start date for these projects is Movember 1st 2014. To view the Request for Applications and to submit a LOI, please visit
