Mrs. World Competition Goes to Russia With Love

Contestants From 34 Countries Convene at Kaliningrad, Russia June 29, 2008 With Co-Hosts Florence Henderson and Tommy Habeeb

HOLLYWOOD, CA--(Marketwire - June 16, 2008) - The 14th annual international gathering of married women representing over 30 countries competing for the title of "Mrs. World" will occur Sunday, June 29th at Kaliningrad, Russia, according to event president, David Marmel. Returning as host of the event is popular actress Florence Henderson, with co-host and well known television personality, Tommy Habeeb.

This is the third consecutive year that Russia has been the host country to the annual production, seen on five continents by millions of TV viewers around the world. The competition has also been produced in many exotic locations such as Las Vegas, Hawaii, St. Petersburg, Bombay-India, Reno, Australia and Israel.

Last year's winner, Tucson, Arizona resident 29-year-old brunette Diane Tucker, will convey the coveted crown to her successor, from among the vying ladies selected by a blue-ribbon panel of judges. Kelly McBee of Worland, Wyoming, the reigning 2008 Mrs. America, will represent the USA contending for the "Mrs. World" title. In this unique format, where delegates come together to share a common purpose of fostering mutual understanding among people of all nations, any married woman, regardless of age, is eligible to participate.

Commenting on his appointment as co-host of the production, Habeeb said, "Having been the host of 'Cheaters,' 'Eye For An Eye' and the current hit series 'Stag' in the United States, it is exciting for me to go half way around the world to be a part of the 'Mrs. World' competition, joining with Florence Henderson and the world's most attractive and talented married women who represent dozens of other countries."

The "Mrs. World" competition taping and its results will also include segments of the lifestyles of the contestants and their activities during their visit to Kaliningrad, Russia. The 2-hour television special will be distributed worldwide through American Television Distribution
