MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - July 13, 2010) - Editors note: A photo is included with this press release on Marketwire's website.

On Monday, July 5, 72 golfers took to the greens at the Waterloo and Château Bromont golf clubs for the 15th MS Golf Challenge. In order to participate, each golfer had to raise a minimum of $2,500. Their successful efforts contributed $380,000 to support the mission of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.

100 holes of golf in one day!

To meet their challenge, participants had to play 100 holes of golf in one day. Tee-off started at 6 a.m.! As spokesperson for the fifth year, Jocelyne Cazin, journalist, media host and public speaker, teamed up with the comedy duo Dominic et Martin (Dominic Sillon and Martin Cloutier), who will be the spokesmen for next year's event. Richard de Carufel, President of the Coopérative de consommation des policiers et policières de Montréal, and journalist Rodger Brulotte were honorary co-chairs of the 2010 Challenge.

Since its inception in 1996, the MS Golf Challenge has raised $2,895,000 to support research and develop services for the 13,000 to 18,000 Quebecers with MS and their families. In addition to the golfers and their sponsors, the 2010 MS Golf Challenge owes its success to the support of the event sponsors, Qualité Étudiants and, and its partners, RBC and Cégep de Lanaudière.
