MSC Cruises Honored With Prestigious Magellan Awards

Two Ships Recognized by Travel Weekly Panel of Industry Professionals

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwire - Oct 4, 2011) - MSC Cruises has been recognized with two prestigious 2011 Magellan Awards from Travel Weekly, a leading travel industry publication, earning recognition in the Contemporary Ship and Luxury Ship categories.

MSC Magnifica, which debuted in 2010, was selected as a 2011 Gold Magellan Award winner in the Cruise Ship/Contemporary Ship category and MSC Fantasia, the largest cruise ship ever built for a European ship owner, was recognized with a Silver Magellan Award in the Cruise Ship/Luxury Ship category.

The Magellan Awards is the premier awards program honoring the best in the travel industry, from design to marketing to services. The 2011 Magellan Awards received entries from top travel organizations and professionals worldwide and were judged by a panel of prominent travel industry professionals.
