Mspark Announces Promotions Within Executive Leadership Team


HELENA, AL--(Marketwired - February 17, 2016) -  Mspark, a results-oriented direct mail and marketing services company with the proven ability to deliver measurable results and positive ROI in markets across America, recently announced the promotions of executive team members Darrell W. Edwards, Thomas W. (Tom) Caprio and Steven R. (Steve) Laney.

With Mspark since 2009, Darrell Edwards has been promoted to chief marketing officer. Along with numerous responsibilities overseeing the marketing and consumer analytics functions, Edwards recently assumed accountability for the Company's digital team, as well as a newly formed comprehensive product management team. In his new role, he will be charged with assisting the Company in creating demand, executing the strategic plan to drive profitable revenue, and integrating its digital products and solutions with its print offerings. Prior to this promotion, Edwards was vice president of marketing at Mspark. He has more than 30 years of experience in both domestic and international marketing programs and services.

Tom Caprio has been promoted to vice president of local sales assuming responsibility for the development and successful execution of Mspark's local market sales strategies in driving incremental, profitable revenue and generating growth in verticals and products. He will lead a team of 100 account executives, including sales managers and directors, within the Company's local sales, inside sales and sales development functions. Caprio joined Mspark in 2014, initially as director of corporate sales development and, later, as director of territory sales - southeast. He has more than 25 years of experience in sales management, sales development and marketing and has held a variety of senior-level roles in the direct mail and digital media space.

Joining the Mspark team in 2007, Steve Laney has been promoted to vice president of operations. In addition to retaining his former responsibilities with pre-press, delivery services, and facility maintenance, Laney assumes accountability for the Company's three distribution facilities as well as its technical equipment and postal affairs departments. Laney has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility during his tenure with the Company providing him with a unique understanding of its operations function. He also has an extensive background in the print industry.
