Mt. Diablo Region YMCA Launches New Interactive Website to Create Broader Support for the Community

Core•Continuum Designs New Website to Engage Community Participation in YMCA Programs and Activities

PLEASANT HILL, CA--(Marketwire - August 20, 2009) - The Mt. Diablo Region YMCA is pleased to announce the launch of its new website mdrymca.org. The website is designed by Core•Continuum, a Bay Area-based web technology firm that is building a comprehensive online platform to better engage and support the communities the YMCA serves. The driving purpose behind the creation of the new website is to enrich members' participation in the programs and activities in a simple and easy-to-use interface and to help Contra Costa County community members enjoy the benefits and programs the YMCA has to offer.

The new website features several new valuable resources for the community, including:

--  A showcase of the communities served by the YMCA with individual
    branch highlights of what is happening in each neighborhood location
--  Comprehensive online program directory organized by location and
    category
--  Member and participant online sign-up for classes, programs and events

    participation information
--  Health and wellness sections featuring topics, articles and tips on
    leading a healthy lifestyle
--  Up-to-the minute advice on a variety of health topics from Kaiser
    Permanente doctors, delivered via Twitter directly to the web site
--  Child care and preschool sections featuring locations, directions and
    maps
--  A calendar of events and promotions for each YMCA facility
--  A new section on sponsorship opportunities afforded by the web
    platform to collaborate with local businesses
--  Donation section for the Capital Campaign, Strong Kids Campaign and
