MTV Asks New York: "What Do You Want to Do Before You Die?"

Monster Media Debuts New Interactive Storefront to Promote MTV Documentary Series

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwire - January 20, 2010) - MTV's new show, "The Buried Life," was brought to life on the streets of NYC through a groundbreaking street-level ad. The series documents a cross-country journey, following four men on a mission to cross 100 things off their list of goals to accomplish before they die, and help others do the same.

MTV's thought provoking series is intended not only to entertain, but also to engage its audience, serving as the perfect platform for an interactive storefront domination. To present MTV with the right blend of engagement and innovation, Monster Media, the global leader of interactive street-level displays, partnered with Media Storm and Maude. This team created a dynamic campaign that can be viewed and controlled by pedestrians.

This never-before-done experience showcases three main areas of engagement fused together to create a highly-customized display. In one section, participants use a control panel consisting of touch sensitive digital screens where they are able to type in one of their goals they would like to accomplish before they die. The users can then submit these goals to MTV's master list, which appears on a linked LCD screen, and can also post to their personal Facebook accounts, a first for Monster Media.

"We have been able to create an interface that allows consumers to craft an ad message and control an out-of-home display in a way that has never been done before," said Chris Beauchamp, CEO of Monster Media. "Pedestrians are really digging this 'Buried Life' display and thousands of users have already submitted a goal from their own list."

Monster Media launched the campaign on Jan. 12 and is measuring participation numbers, providing MTV with a tangible return on their investment. So far the video clips have been touch activated 5,085 times and over 2,000 wishes have been submitted.

The Monster Storefront is located on the highly-trafficked corner of 5th and 43rd.
