Mu Sigma Executives Present at Three Top Technology Conferences in June

This Month, Mu Sigma's Decision Scientists Discuss Big Data, Next Generation Analytics and Data Marketplaces at E2Conference, Hadoop Summit, and Techweek Chicago

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - Jun 10, 2013) - Mu Sigma (, one of the world's largest pure-play decision sciences and analytics firms, announced today it will be present at three important technology and analytics conferences this month: E2 Conference, Hadoop Summit and Techweek Chicago.

At E2 Conference Zubin Dowlaty, Vice President, Head of Innovation and Development, will be presenting on Big Data with a session title: "I Can See Clearly Now" on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 3:45 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. The session will discuss how the key challenge of big data is wringing sense out of it; one picture can be worth a thousand terabytes, but a thousand pictures may be worthless. Attendees will gain insight around the challenges of visualizing data as it scales, the key strategies for squeezing more meaning into less output, the "how" of successfully implementing visualization, and an overview of the visualization tool and vendor landscape.

At Hadoop Summit, Zubin Dowlaty will be presenting "Next Generation Analytics: A Reference Architecture" on Wednesday, June 26 from 4:55 p.m. - 5:35 pm. Dowlaty will review and provide a better understanding on how businesses are mapping out their next generation analytics architecture based on various decision layers within the Hadoop ecosystem.

For Techweek Chicago, Mike Feldner, Geography Head, will be participating in a panel on Saturday, June 29 at 12:00 p.m. - "Data is the New Capital: Understanding the New Data Marketplace." This panel will explore the emerging data marketplace where free or paid information is available via API. Which startups or corporations should consider monetizing their data? When should data be free, and when should it be billable? How can we enforce the owning / licensing of data? And finally, what are the opportunities for startups to enter the 'data-as-a-service' arena?

"We are very proud to be speaking at three major technology shows this month and sharing our expertise and learning in the areas of Big Data and analytics," said Dhiraj Rajaram, CEO of Mu Sigma. "Our decision scientists are immersed in this area because of the work we are doing everyday with Fortune 500 companies, and we are eager to share this insight and first-hand experience with the audiences at E2 Conference, Hadoop Summit and Techweek."
