MULTIMEDIA UPDATE - Stanford Center for Legal Informatics, CodeX, to Host Disruption Lightning Round in San Francisco

Align Matters Chosen to Present at Prestigious Shark Tank Style Session at LegalTech

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - June 26, 2015) - Align Matters, the leader in business-driven legal management in the cloud, is delighted to announce their selection by Stanford for the CodeX Legal Disruption Lightning Round. This Shark Tank style program on July 14 is a featured track at LegalTech West Coast in San Francisco.

"We've identified entrepreneurs that are tackling big issues in the legal system," said Dr. Roland Vogl, Executive Director and Lecturer in Law, Stanford Program in Law, Science & Technology. "We are excited about the Lightning Round, it will demonstrate leaps in efficiency made possible through the collaboration of law and technology."

The CodeX Legal Disruption Lightning Round will feature legal tech innovators who will pitch their products and services to and receive feedback from a panel of distinguished judges -- investors, academics and industry giants -- including John Bautista, Monica Bay, Jerry Kaplan, Rebecca Lynn and Jeroen Plink as well as LegalTech attendees.

Each company will have 5 minutes to present, followed by 2-3min of questions and feedback from the judges, followed by another 2min of Q&A with the LegalTech audience.

The CodeX Lightning Round at LegalTech NY held earlier this year was extremely popular, with standing room only. The Lightning Round in San Francisco is expected to be as popular and it's suggested to attend the opening round beginning at 10:30am on July 14. The show will be held at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero and is presented by American Lawyer Media (ALM) events. (#LTWC15 / @legaltechshow)

Align was also chosen by ALM as one of only 8 legal tech startups to be included in the CodeX Start-up Showcase in the exhibition area at LegalTech West 2015.

"We are grateful and honored to be among fellow innovators dedicated to improving the business of law through cloud-based technology," said Alan Nathanson, Founder and CEO, Align matters. "We focus on smart data and modeling to improve outcomes, reduce risk and control budget overruns. Align brings predictability and transparency to legal costs and risks, and optimizes decision-making."

Alan Nathanson and Deborah Baron will present Align Matters in the CodeX Lightning Round beginning at 10:30am on July 14th. You can also visit Align Matters at the CodeX Startup Showcase in the Exhibition area on July 13-14 at the Hyatt Regency.

If you would like to attend LegalTech West Coast 2015 July 13-14, use LTWC15C as your registration code for an additional $100 CodeX discount off a master pass to the conference.
