Multiplatinum Band LIVE Gets Air With Stadium Super Trucks

LIVE Join Series as Sponsor for Toronto Race

YORK, PA--(Marketwired - Jul 18, 2014) -  The band LIVE are making a resurgence. After an ugly lawsuit against their former lead singer and a lengthy musical hiatus, the quartet based in York, PA are once again making new music and beginning to tour. They've added vocalist Chris Shinn [Unified Theory], built a brand new recording studio and launched a series of successful business ventures, all while writing and recording their eighth studio album.

Discovered by legendary club promoter Hilly Kristal of the famed CBGB's, LIVE has sold more than twenty million albums and performed for more than fifteen million fans globally, including shows at Air Canada Center and Molson Amphitheater. Their entrepreneurial instincts have led them into a series of successful investments that include a fiber optic business, real estate development and now racing sponsorship but ultimately their passion remains making music.

This weekend, the LIVE logo, promoting the release of their forthcoming album, will find a new kind of "air time" flying on the side of Bill Hynes' #57 Stadium Super Truck. The Robby Gordon helmed racing series hits Toronto July 18, 19 and 20 as part of the Honda Indy Toronto double-header race.

"We're looking forward to reconnecting with our Canadian fans. Returning to our roots really helped to rebuild our spirit for making dangerous music. When the opportunity to sponsor a Stadium Super Truck arose, we thought it would be a great way to get the word out that LIVE is back," said guitarist, Chad Taylor.

The #57 LIVE Stadium Super Truck will be driven by Bill Hynes, a close friend and business partner to the band. Hynes is making his professional driving debut.

"I'm excited to represent LIVE and their incredible fans. I've got an advanced copy of the album to get me pumped up before the race. I'm also honored that Robby Gordon would give me a shot. I'm looking forward to competing with an elite field of drivers. Hopefully, we're able to be competitive," said Hynes.

Race fans will also see LIVE predominately featured on Canadian driver James Hinchcliffe's #27 United Fiber & Data INDYCAR, as well as U.S. driver Marco Andretti.

"Rock n' Roll and racing are a natural fit and James and Marco have been the perfect drivers for LIVE. We like to turn our music up loud and push the boundaries just like these incredible drivers do throughout a long race season. It would be cool to see James get a victory at his hometown race," continues Taylor.

LIVE has a string of radio hits including alternative rock staples Lightning Crashes, I Alone, Lakini's Juice & Dolphins Cry. The bands albums Throwing Copper, Secret Samadhi and Distance to Here all topped the Canadian album charts in the 90's.

LIVE will be performing in Canada at Festivent in St. Jean-Chrysostome on August 3, 2014. Their eighth studio album will be released in the fall of 2014. For more information visit
