Munich Hotel Welcomes New General Manager Erich Zuri

MUNICH, GERMANY--(Marketwired - Feb 5, 2014) - Erich Zuri has spent his work life in hotels, beginning as a director of Food & Beverage at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC. On 13^th January 2014, he found himself checking into another -- this time as the new general manager at the Munich Marriott Hotel.

Zuri's many years of experience in the hospitality industry make him the perfect fit as general manager of this Munich hotel near Marienplatz. His work has taken him from the US and around Europe, giving him experience that's truly an asset with the international clientele found at the Munich Marriott Hotel.

Zuri graduated from the HOSPA in Switzerland before heading off to Washington, DC, where he was director of Food & Beverage at the Mayflower Hotel and then the Madison Hotel. Staying in the city, he took a higher position at the State Plaza Hotel and Suites as general manager. With that experience under his belt, Zuri spent the next 4 years as general manager at the Renaissance Arlington Hotel in Virginia.

With Europe beckoning, Zuri headed to Prague, where he was general manager of the Renaissance Prague from 1994 to 1998. During this time, he was named Hotelier of the Year in the Czech Republic. His experience prior to joining this Munich hotel near city center also includes a stint as vice president for CTF Hotels and Resorts, a position he held from 1999 to 2006. The company, which has 72 luxury hotels and resorts in North America and Europe, gave him additional international experience, which Zuri took with him when he joined the staff at the Athens Ledra Marriott Hotel in 2006 as general manager. His last position before joining this Munich family hotel was as general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott Brussels.
