Municipal Information Systems Association of Canada Signs 3-Year Licensing Agreement With Chalk

MISA BC to Build eUniversity for Members on chalkboard™ LCMS

VANCOUVER, BC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 9, 2007 -- Chalk Media Corp. (TSX-V: CKM) today announces that the British Columbia Chapter of the Municipal Information Systems Association of Canada ("MISA/ASIM Canada"), an association dedicated to promoting greater co-operation among local government staff in the IT field, has selected the chalkboard™ Learning Content Management System (LCMS) as the platform for its eUniversity.

"We are very excited about the potential of this agreement," said Gerry Matte, MISA BC President. "We want to provide enhanced educational and knowledge-sharing services to our members -- anytime, anywhere -- and see chalkboard™ LCMS as a good enabler to achieve this mandate. Our members often are unable to obtain classroom training due to lack of funds or insufficient course enrolments and cancellations of courses. Affordable online training available 7x24 is of substantial value to all Canadian municipalities and all five chapters of MISA/ASIM Canada are looking forward to using this facility in 2007."

"MISA/ASIM Canada does a commendable job at sharing information, developing common solutions and distributing them on a broad scale," said Dave Chalk, Founder of Chalk. "I had the pleasure of doing the keynote presentation at MISA BC's Annual Conference in the fall and it really reinforced the necessity for eLearning solutions in the government sphere. This agreement is an excellent testament to Chalk's focus on, and competence in this arena."

MISA/ASIM Canada will begin using the chalkboard™ LCMS platform in early 2007, at which time they will be able to create, house, deliver and track eLearning courseware. The BC Chapter will initially be populating their eUniversity with a selection of off-the-shelf courseware offered by Chalk, and also plans to utilize the company's award-winning custom content and rich media services.
