Mushroom Networks Launches Truffle Lite, the "Swiss Army Knife" of Networking for Growing Businesses and Home Offices

Compact Network Device Bonds Multiple Broadband Access Lines Into a Single High-Speed Connection Delivering a Bandwidth as Needed Option to Smaller Companies

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 24, 2011) - Mushroom Networks, Inc., innovators of Broadband Bonding technology, today announced Truffle Lite, a slim version of their innovative network appliance that combines multiple broadband lines (DSL, cable, wireless) into a single high-speed connection. Targeting small and medium businesses (SMBs) and home offices, Truffle Lite effectively solves the gap in broadband service options available to growing companies by offering a viable way to add bandwidth capacity based on immediate need. With built-in security, quality of service (QoS) and live traffic monitoring, all major requirements to run a local network are covered with just a single device.

Truffle Lite combines up to four broadband connections of any type (wired or wireless) and easily installs between the modem and local network without requiring configuration to the existing network or coordination with the ISP, a truly plug & play setup. SMBs or home office users have the ability to mix and match services from multiple providers creating built-in redundancy to assure Internet service even if a link fails. If a link does fail or is degraded, the effect is shielded from the use since the Truffle Lite transparently spreads the traffic across the available links.

"Traditionally, growing companies and home offices have very limited choices when it comes to Internet service. In many scenarios, one DSL or cable line is simply not enough to support operations and services such as MPLS or T3 are overkill and not economically feasible," stated Dr. Cahit Akin, CEO of Mushroom Networks. "Truffle Lite solves this all-too-familiar service gap by offering companies the ability to scale bandwidth directly coinciding with needs. Besides creating an incredibly fast Internet connection, this little box incorporates all the networking functionalities a business needs to keep the network safe and running optimally."

Truffle Lite comes standard with two WAN ports activated and supports the option of 3 or 4 WAN ports. The powerful traffic monitoring and reporting module introduced with Truffle Lite plots usage trends of various types of traffic over periods of time painting a clear picture of how bandwidth is being consumed on the network. This capability is now available on other Truffle models as well. Other Internet services such as port-forwarding, port binding, WAN interface binding, static IP, dynamic IP, PPPoE, DHCP, DMZ, UPnP, Dynamic DNS and QoS are all supported.
