Government of Canada provides funding for the second annual Rockfest


SAINT-PIERRE-BAPTISTE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - June 30, 2014) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of International Development, Minister for La Francophonie and Member of Parliament (Mégantic-L'Érable), today announced $24,000 in funding for the second annual Rockfest. He made this announcement on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

This funding is provided by the Government of Canada under the Local Festivals component of the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program. From August 22 to 24, 2014, residents of Saint-Pierre-Baptiste and neighbouring communities will be treated to a weekend of music concerts in a festive atmosphere.

  • Rockfest 2014, which will last for three days, is taking place in the sugar bush in the municipality of Saint-Pierre-Baptiste.
