Music Media Veterans Launch Content Marketing Venture

Amplifier Content Marketing Connects Worldwide Brands to Consumers Through the Passion of Music

SILVER SPRING, MD--(Marketwire - December 16, 2008) - Music is rapidly becoming "the monster glue" that bonds consumers to major brands, but most corporations still aren't maximizing its potential, especially in today's economy.

That's the premise behind Amplifier Content Marketing, a new venture that helps brands engage with consumers through music-oriented content marketing.

"People are passionate about music and can develop affinities for certain brands that feed their interests in artists, songs and events," says Glenn Sabin, the CEO and Chief Marketing Officer of Amplifier. "We create custom music content that activates that relationship between the brand and the consumer."

Amplifier produces custom magazines, websites, event-driven publications, experiential activation programs, and provides strategic consulting. Its client roster includes JVC Electronics, Barnes and Noble, and Borders.

With over 25 years as a publisher of internationally respected magazines (JazzTimes/Harp), Sabin is an expert in the fields of music and high quality content. His core team includes Joe Pulizzi, one of the country's leading content marketing experts who serves as Amplifier's Senior Marketing Strategist.

"Content marketing is the art of communicating with customers and prospects without selling," says Pulizzi. "Instead of pitching products or services, you deliver entertaining information that simultaneously engages your buyer and makes them more intelligent. If businesses deliver consistent, ongoing valuable information to buyers, they will ultimately reward those companies with their business and loyalty."

Amplifier's Chief Content Officer, Lee Mergner, leads a team of award-winning writers, photographers, illustrators and designers that he's recruited for the venture.

"When it comes to music, we have the world's finest content creators at our disposal, hands down," declares Mergner. "For companies that want to leverage music to promote their brands, Amplifier is the place to start. We know the industry inside and out."

All content that Amplifier researches, writes and produces for a client becomes that client's property, and can be used in any way it chooses.

Amplifier's website at amplifiercontent.com includes blogs on music and content marketing, along with a free white paper called "Music in Marketing: Daring to Communicate Directly With Consumers."

Amplifier Content Marketing is a division of Amplifier Media, LLC, based in Silver Spring, Maryland.
