Local and International Celebrities Discover Boutique Recording Studio Hotspot on Manhattan's Upper West Side for Voice-Overs and Music Recording

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Jun 13, 2012) - Music Works NYC, a new boutique recording studio on Manhattan's Upper West side, marks its second year with the launch of a voice-over division.

The opening of the new division was celebrated with a launch party featuring distinguished vocal coach Professor William Riley (Celine Dion, Bill Clinton, Liza Minnelli, Whitney Houston). First voice-over projects include "How I Met Your Mother" star, Neil Patrick Harris, who visited the upper west side studios for an upcoming TV special, and tennis legend John McEnroe, who recorded voiceovers for the Tennis Channel's documentary, "Signature Series: Rod Laver."

Continuing its growth as a recording destination for international artists, Music Works NYC studios played host to Beijing's The Viva Girls, a 12-piece girl band from China whose fusion of modern and traditional music are transforming them into a pop sensation not just in China, but also around the world. The sessions were captured on this short video segment: Viva Girls.

Music Works NYC has already become home to stateside recording artists including world famous superstar percussionist Giovanni Hidalgo. Hidalgo is recording a new solo album at Music Works NYC, where he says he has "found my true sound". New artist clients include SONY/ATV songwriter Frankie Storm (Rihanna "Please Don't Stop the Music"), singer Ashley Ring (Cash Money/Universal), EMI Publishing artists Ivory and Producer Calvo Da Gr8 as well as other artists managed by the WOW music group.

Music Works NYC Manhattan recording studios were designed by platinum engineer/consultant Christos Tsantillis (50 Cent, LaBelle, The Roots, Diddy) and built by Michigan-based custom studio builder Ken Capton (Eminem, Kid Rock).
