Mutual of Omaha's 2015 Aha Moment Tour Embarks on Its 6th Year Seeking Inspirational Stories and Life-Changing Moments for National TV Spot

Tour Gives Everyday Americans Chance at Thirty Seconds of Fame

OMAHA, NE--(Marketwired - Apr 13, 2015) - Mutual of Omaha is taking its popular Aha Moment Tour back on the road this summer, visiting 20 cities to collect real aha moments -- life-changing moments of hope, inspiration and possibility -- from real people across America.

Traveling more than 7,700 miles, four crewmembers will tour the country in a custom built 34-foot Airstream trailer designed as a mobile television recording studio. Participants who share their personal aha moments may be featured in a new 30-second television ad, which will begin airing in spring 2016.

In its sixth year run, the Aha Moment Tour has captured more than 5,000 people sharing their aha moments. The videos are shared socially and posted to the campaign website at Previous tours culminated in an online public vote to determine which stories to feature in Mutual of Omaha's nationwide television advertising campaign. More than 50 commercials have been produced and aired since the campaign's inception in 2009.

"As we begin our sixth Aha Moment Tour, we remain inspired by the limitless potential of life's possibilities."

For the first time ever, the Aha Moment Tour will allow the public to choose the 20th city tour stop. During a two-week vote beginning May 11 on the Aha Moment Tour Facebook page, people will be encouraged to vote for one of the following cities: Las Vegas, Nevada; Dallas, Texas; St. Louis, Missouri; New Orleans, Louisiana; or Santa Cruz, California. The winning 20th city will be announced on May 22.

The 2015 Tour will kick off in Irvine, California, on May 4 and will visit 20 cities in 20 states through the beginning of August. The complete schedule is as follows:

  May 14-15: San Antonio, Texas
  May 18-19: Jackson, Mississippi
  May 21-22: Birmingham, Alabama
  May 26-27: Chattanooga, Tennessee

  June 4-5: Columbia, South Carolina
  June 9-10: Lynchburg, Virginia
  June 12-13: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
  June 17-18: Syracuse, New York
  June 23-24: Louisville, Kentucky
  June 29-30: Madison, Wisconsin
  July 6-7: St. Paul, Minnesota
  July 9-10: Des Moines, Iowa
  July 15-16: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
  July 21-22: Denver, Colorado
  July 27-28: Seattle, Washington
  July 30-31: Portland, Oregon
  August 6-7: 20th City based on nationwide vote

The Aha Moment Tour is returning to Jackson, Birmingham, Chattanooga, Savannah, Columbia, Harrisburg, Syracuse, Louisville, Des Moines and Sioux Falls for a second time.

Exact tour stop locations in each city can be found at, along with the ability for participants to register for a time slot to record their aha moment in advance of the stop. Individuals also may stop by the trailer each day to share their moments of inspiration, change and possibilities.
