MV Multi-Trap(R) Vacuum Inlet Trap Keeps Vacuum Molding Processes Operating

NORTH BILLERICA, MA--(Marketwire - Feb 21, 2012) - MV Products has introduced a multiple stage vacuum inlet trap that protects vacuum pumps on metal injection molding, vacuum compression molding, and vacuum hydraulic press processes which produce byproducts that can destroy vacuum pumps and create production slowdowns.

The MV Multi-Trap® Vacuum Inlet Trap is designed to keep vacuum molding presses operating by protecting their vacuum pumps from waxes, polymers, volatile vapors, and moisture from the gas stream. Providing a knock-down stage for collecting heavy solids and condensables plus an optional cooling coil, users can precisely match this trap to their own process requirements.

Featuring 4.5" and 9" H user-replaceable filter elements, the MV Multi-Trap® Vacuum Inlet Trap can be configured with two stages of 10 elements or one stage of five. Filter elements include copper- or stainless steel-gauze, molecular sieve, activated charcoal, Sodasorb®, and pleated polypropylene. Made from stainless steel with NW40 to ISO-100 flanges, the trap is offered in a variety of sizes.

The MV Multi-Trap® Vacuum Inlet Trap is priced from $2,175.00 (list), depending upon configuration. Price quotations are available upon request.

About MV Products

Protecting vacuum pumps, people and the environment, MV Products is a division of Mass-Vac, Inc., which was founded in 1971 to serve customers in need of vacuum pump support and service. After years of field experience rebuilding vacuum pumps and analyzing the reasons why they failed, along with extensive research and development the MV Products division was created. MV Products manufactures a complete line of vacuum inlet traps, exhaust traps, mist eliminators, and oil filtration systems for a wide range of manufacturing, laboratory, and commercial applications including universities and hospitals.

Mass-Vac, Inc. specializes in solving the process contamination problems associated vacuum systems that are used with processes such as MOCVD, HVPE, PECVD, or LPCVD which generate high volumes of particulates. These processes, of course, are used in manufacturing green products such as solar cells, HB-LEDs, and Li-Ion batteries. Mass-Vac, Inc. is an active member of SEMI and the American Vacuum Society.
