Mxi Technologies: Aloha Airlines to Implement Maintenix Real-Time Maintenance Execution and Materials Management Software

OTTAWA, CANADA--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 15, 2005) - Mxi Technologies announced today that Aloha Airlines has selected the Maintenix software product for real-time maintenance execution and materials management. This selection builds on the success of an earlier installation that supports configuration management & maintenance tracking for its Boeing 737-200 and 737-700 fleets, and that allowed Aloha Airlines to decommission its legacy "DASH" system.

The earlier installation of configuration management & maintenance tracking software with Aloha Airlines began in January 2004, and was completed on schedule, within budget. These tools have allowed Aloha to track upcoming maintenance requirements by cycles for its short-haul aircraft, and by flight hours for its long-haul aircraft. Using Maintenix in this manner, Aloha is able to better forecast upcoming maintenance, and ensure compliance with outstanding Engineering Orders (EOs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and Airworthiness Directives (ADs). The Aloha Engine Department is also able to closely track all life-limited parts on the engines, thereby reducing unscheduled delays.

The latest selection of additional Maintenix modules will provide real-time maintenance execution tools to be employed in the Line, Heavy, and Shop Maintenance environments. Plans are also already in place for the implementation of the Materials Management module of Maintenix, which will provide the airline with demand management, material fulfillment, warehouse management, and procurement functionality. Once this implementation is complete, the installed system will represent the full suite of Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) software available from Mxi Technologies.

"Aloha Airlines is delighted to have selected the Maintenix software to continue the modernization of Aloha's maintenance and materials management systems," said Earl Sepulveda, Senior Director Maintenance and Engineering at Aloha Airlines. "We are confident that the Maintenix execution system will leverage the benefits of those modules that are already installed, which have proven to be indispensable to our Engineering and Tech Records group. We look forward to continuing our work with the Mxi project team during this system expansion."

"Mxi is pleased to move forward with Aloha Airlines on the implementation of additional modules of the Maintenix software provided by Mxi," said Doug Brouse, Mxi Technologies CEO. "To date, this project has been very successful, and we feel certain that Maintenix will continue to prove itself as a leading maintenance management system for the mid-tier airline marketplace."
