Mxi Technologies Offers Advanced Deployed Operations Solution for Defense Organizations With the Latest Release of Maintenix® Software

New functionality addresses challenges of globally deployed military assets

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 21, 2009) -

News at a Glance

- Real-time Total Asset Visibility of globally deployed assets

- Network and file-based data transfers that maintain data integrity and mission security

- Rapid assessment of the mission readiness levels of deployed assets

Mxi Technologies, the leader in aviation maintenance software, announced today enhancements to the deployed operations functionality within the Maintenix® software. Focused on providing Total Asset Visibility (TAV) of globally deployed assets, defense organizations can now rapidly assess the mission readiness of deployed assets, and react to in-theatre events more effectively with the parts and maintenance required to keep assets flying.

Designed to support maintenance planning and execution for forward deployed operations, the new functionality leverages the software's integrated design, further establishing it as a core enabling technology for Performance Based Logistics (PBL) programs. The software provides such key features as:

- Accurate forecasting of maintenance-related parts and resources in preparation for deployment

- Support for autonomous field operations as well as a centralized management with a distributed system architecture

- A single, integrated view of maintenance, operations, and supply at all locations, including remote deployed sites

- Real-time tracking of usage, utilization rates, maintenance fault data, and costs.

Taking into account limited communications during "silent" operations and intermittent network connectivity during remote deployments, the functionality has been built on technology that allows both network and file-based data transfers between operational sites, while maintaining data integrity and mission security.

"The Maintenix software has been proven in-theatre for over ten years and we have been working with our defense customers to fully understand the needs of this market and expand our offering accordingly," said Dave Curley, Vice-President of Marketing and Product Management at Mxi Technologies. "With a design based on component-level configuration management, the Maintenix software is uniquely qualified to deliver such an advanced solution, leading to next generation maintenance management."
