Mxi's Maintenix Software Goes Live as the System of Record for Air Mauritius' A340 Fleet

OTTAWA, CANADA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 25, 2006) - Mxi Technologies announced today the successful completion of the first phase in the phased implementation of the Maintenix® software at Air Mauritius. Phase one of the project serves as a building block toward a fully integrated, enterprise-wide system, with Maintenix now recognized as the official system of record with regulatory authorities for the Air Mauritius A340 fleet.

The Maintenix software was chosen by Air Mauritius to replace its current systems, including Maxi-Merlin and other legacy systems, in an initiative to modernize its maintenance IT systems and streamline its Maintenance and Engineering processes. Phase one of the project, which included the delivery of functions for Engineering, Maintenance Planning, and Tech Records, was completed successfully.

"The Mxi Maintenix software will give Air Mauritius complete and real-time visibility over Aircraft Scheduled Maintenance, Aircraft Configuration, Engineering Orders, and Deferred Defects, and we will now be able to manage all tasks from one system that unifies engineering, maintenance and materials," said Sushil Baguant, Chief Business Support Executive at Air Mauritius. "We have been very impressed by the state-of-the-art system thus far, and have found the flexibility and user-friendly nature to be an important enabler that is consistent with our decision to bring certain maintenance and engineering activities back in-house."

"The successful implementation of the Maintenix system on Air Mauritius' Airbus A340 fleet reflects the scalability of the software," said Doug Brouse, Mxi's Chief Executive Officer. "Throughout the delivery, the constant interaction between our team and Air Mauritius has tremendously helped to further enhance the transition to the new system, and we are looking forward to an equally successful phase two implementation."

Building on the success of the first phase of implementation, phase two will add all subsequent fleets to the system, along with Line Maintenance capabilities, Maintenance Execution, and Materials Management with integration into the airline's finance system.
