My-Villages Launches Online Digital Collaborative to Improve Product Ownership and Service Experience

First Digital Community on My-Villages, My Boat Village, Connects Boat Lovers With Valuable Resources and Expert Advice

The first village on My-Villages will be My Boat Village (debuting 10/25 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show). Geared toward boat owners and marine industry professionals, My Boat Village will offer the industry a free, online community and a single destination to search for answers and share ideas and expertise.

With My Boat Village, boat owners no longer have to bounce from Web site to Web site or thumb through paper manuals in order to gather various pieces of necessary information to service and maintain their boats. And for manufacturers and service providers, My Boat Village provides a platform to engage and inform customers in real time, provide expert advice and facilitate deeper relationships, while giving manufacturers and service providers valuable insight about their customers' needs. By streamlining the experience, My Boat Village connects boat owners to the manufacturers that build their boats; the service providers that support them; the people who share their passion; and the information that allows them to better operate, maintain and enjoy their boats.

Gone are the days when customer engagement meant attending a few conferences, mailing flyers and sending some mass email communications. Today's customers are both social media and smartphone savvy.
