SHANGHAI, CHINA--(Marketwire - October 8, 2007) - New e-commerce site has launched an online competition to promote global awareness of the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games. Weeks before Arnold Schwarzenegger and Yao Ming helped kick off the opening ceremony on Tuesday in Shanghai, myTino kicked off its own "My Special Gift" competition, offering up to US$2,007 in prizes to the most creative gift to be presented to the Special Olympians from all over the globe.

myTino has invited participants across the world to come up with a digital creative work celebrating the key themes behind the Special Olympics. A top prize of US$1,007 will be awarded to the best entry, which will be presented to the Special Olympians on behalf of the myTino community. Prizes of US$20 each will be awarded to 50 other winning entries. This grassroots competition is carried out in both English and in Chinese simultaneously on and As of October 7th, there were over 20,000 people around the globe participating in this special competition and over 500 participants have already submitted their entries.

In addition to launching the competition, and its sister site announced that they will permanently waive all charges for physically and intellectually disabled users.
