MyBuys' CEO Robert Cell to Deliver Keynote at eTail West 2010

Cell to Discuss Consumer Shopping Trends, eTail Economics, and Retail Strategies to Drive Growth in 2010

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - February 18, 2010) - MyBuys, the leading provider of personalized recommendations, today announced that chief executive officer Robert Cell will be delivering the opening keynote at the "eTail West 2010" conference in Palm Desert, CA. Cell will also moderate a panel comprised of industry leaders from 1-800-Flowers, Crocs, ChannelAdvisor, ShopNBC, Barnes and Noble, ShoeBuy.com, sysIQ, Walgreens, Guitar Center, and Aeropostale. The panel, titled "Making Informed Decisions to Prioritize Projects Based upon Their ROI Potential," looks at how leading retailers are assessing value across a broad range of strategies, including mobile, social media and personalization initiatives.

"2009 was a challenging year for ecommerce -- while we saw overall growth relative to 2008, the increase came from a heavy reliance on promotional pricing, which has an obvious impact on margins and profitability," said Robert Cell, CEO MyBuys. "2010 started off with a slower-than-expected January, but we think there's good news on the horizon, with signs suggesting we're on the path to more rational growth in 2010. I look forward to sharing these insights at eTail West."

Additionally, MyBuys Vice President of Client Success Shaun Schooley will be hosting an interactive roundtable at the conference alongside Erik Martinez, Director of e-Commerce at the Peruvian Connection. The session is titled "Personalization 2.0 - What's Coming Next?" and will cover the next phases of growth in the personalization market. A study conducted by MyBuys and the eTail group showed that more than 3 out of every 4 consumers expect retailers to know them, and to make product recommendations based on their interactions with the company. Thus, the question is no longer "should we do personalization," but "how are we going to do it most effectively?" Schooley and Martinez will discuss the best practices around multi-channel personalization to ensure that retailers are giving shoppers the most personalized experience possible every time they interact with your brand.

eTail West 2010 is being held at the J.W. Marriott Desert Springs, Palm Desert, CA from February 22 - 25, 2010. The conference's content is focused on the retailer's experiences in the current economic environment, as well as key growth areas for 2010 including mobile, social and personalization strategies.
