MyBuys E-Commerce Wellness Index Continues Upturn in June

Health of Online Retail Rises as Consumers Purchase More at Full Price

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - July 13, 2010) -  MyBuys, the leading provider of personalization for multi-channel retailers, today released the June 2010 edition of the MyBuys E-commerce Wellness Index™. The index measures the overall health of U.S. e-commerce and tracks key trends among retailers. Revenue from full-priced items was up 19% during the month of June which drove the Index up 2.7% compared to the same month one year ago. Sales of discounted items decreased 26.6% during the month and accounted for an average of 14% of total orders, down from 46% in June 2009. The average depth of discount remains at roughly 27%. Total revenue in June 2010 decreased 7.5% compared to the same period one year ago.

"Although total online revenue is down, the MyBuys Health and Wellness Index provides unique insight into the positive health of the industry," said Robert Cell, CEO MyBuys. "Retailers have been successful at executing strategies to increase purchases at full price while reducing their reliance on discounting strategies."

The June 2010 Index also demonstrates the power of personalization as retailers saw a 17% increase in average order values for personalized transactions compared to sales without personalization."
