myMail Is the Top Alternative Email App on iOS Worldwide

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 10, 2014) - myMail, the mobile app for managing multiple email accounts, is now the most downloaded third-party email client on iOS worldwide according to the data provided by the app analytics company, Distimo.

Distimo data shows that in terms of downloads during March 2014 myMail became the most popular third-party email client supporting different email providers in the App Store. myMail outperformed a lot of other email applications, including prominent competitors like Sparrow, Mailbox, CloudMagic, Boxer, Seed Mail and others.

In the US, myMail is also No. 1 among third-party email clients that provide users access to different email providers. It is also in the top 3 among all iOS email apps, overrun only by two giant email providers, Gmail and Yahoo. And the situation is the same on almost all major western markets including UK, Canada etc. In Spain and Portugal, myMail even outperforms the Yahoo Mail app.

"Our analytics indicate that in March 2014 the myMail app became the most downloaded alternative email client on iOS," said Anne Hezemans, Analyst of Distimo. "And we see the growing trend in the number of daily downloads of this app."

"In building myMail, we had the advantage of knowing from the beginning that we were building an app focused on the mobile user," said Dmitry Grishin, CEO and co-founder of Mail.Ru Group. "We felt there simply wasn't enough choice out on the market, and we wanted to give users, especially power users, the tools for an ideal mobile experience. We're encouraged by this tremendous adoption and are continually building new features into myMail."

myMail offers a host of features designed to appeal to mobile power users. The app allows managing messages in Gmail, Hotmail, Live, Outlook, MSN, iCloud, AOL and Yahoo mail accounts, and supports all IMAP and POP3-enabled mailboxes. Additionally, myMail provides customizable push notifications, even for those email services that don't support this feature.

Available on iOS and Android, myMail is developed for mobile devices from the ground up, offering sleek UI and a visualized message list with users' avatars and icons for popular services. The app uses sophisticated data compression to save bandwidth, and benefits from the engineers' expertise, research, and best practices. myMail uses leading industry security protocols and practices to ensure data integrity, security, and privacy.
