Myxer Expands Leadership Team With Appointment of William J. Brown as Vice President of Marketing

Brown's Appointment Indicative of Myxer's Continued Growth as a Leading Consumer Brand in the Rapidly Evolving Mobile Music & Entertainment Marketplace

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwire - Aug 9, 2011) - Myxer, a mobile technology company that operates the largest ad-supported mobile entertainment site in the U.S., today announced the appointment of William J. Brown to Vice President of Marketing, effective immediately. Brown will report to Myxer's Chief Marketing Officer, Mike Carson.

In this role, Brown will drive Myxer's marketing efforts across multiple channels and leverage his experience in digital consumer engagement as Myxer continues to innovate and expand its presence within the mobile entertainment marketplace.

Brown most recently was with the Interactive Servicing Unit at American Express where he led the worldwide operational strategy to support all self-service transactions and implemented a worldwide social media response team.

Prior to working with American Express, Brown served as Director of E-Business Strategy for the Hilton Grand Vacations unit of Hilton Worldwide, where he led all digital branding, consumer acquisition and relationship management across digital channels, including ground-breaking behavioral targeting. Brown also held positions with IAC/InterActiveCorp, Dell's Alienware unit, and TracFone Wireless, the fastest growing mobile phone company in the US.

Brown was recently named associate professor of Digital Marketing for IE Business School, in Madrid, Spain, and previously taught on the M.B.A. faculty at University of Miami where he devised core digital business strategy topics and directed semester-long courses relevant to managing innovation. Brown holds a degree in Business Administration from Seton Hall University and an M.B.A. from Drexel University.
