N-able Technologies Forms Technology Alliance With Mitel to Expand Remote IP Communications Monitoring Capabilities for MSPs Worldwide

Integration Broadens MSPs Remote Managed Service Capabilities to Include VoIP and Help Ensure 24/7 Business Continuity for Customers

OTTAWA--(Marketwire - November 16, 2010) - N-able Technologies®, the global leader in remote network and systems management (NSM) software for IT departments and managed service providers (MSPs), today announced a technology alliance with Mitel (NASDAQ: MITL), a leading provider of unified communications software solutions.

The alliance calls for the integration of Mitel Communications Director (MCD), a flexible IP communications software solution, with N-able's N-central® NSM software platform, making customized VoIP monitoring services available to MSPs worldwide. The service provides MSPs and IT leaders with actionable insight into communications system performance and the capability for 24/7 business continuity for customers. In addition, the new alliance opens the door for MSPs to add IP communications to their service offerings.

Mitel also provides MSPs the option of deploying its call control software in a virtualized environment. Virtual MCD leverages VMware vSphere4 to enable MSPs to consolidate Mitel's voice and unified communications applications alongside non-voice business applications. This can help improve productivity and efficiencies in management and provide a single business continuity plan.

"This new technology alliance with N-able will make it possible for our mutual partners to deliver managed services remotely while monitoring communications information for their customers from one centralized console," says Paul Butcher, president and chief operating officer for Mitel. "Making these two powerful solutions interoperate gives MSPs a valuable tool for expanding their businesses and providing added value to customers."

The alliance supports N-able's initiatives for ensuring partner success by investing in the business acumen, technology and services that MSPs need to deliver a high-value, high-performance 100 percent IT coverage model to their customers, says Gavin Garbutt, N-able Technologies president and CEO.

"We're very pleased to partner with Mitel to offer this compelling technical integration to our mutual partner base. As demand for VoIP continues to grow, our partners will be able to take advantage of Mitel Communications Director which is designed to optimize communications system performance for their customers," says Garbutt. "In addition, they'll have access to a solution designed to extend their portfolios to meet their 100 percent IT coverage goals, improve profitability, increase margins and grow their businesses."

N-able's N-central 7.1 introduces the managed services industry's first hybrid NSM platform combining Professional licenses and free Essential licenses. It also delivers new features including self-healing automation, backup and replication, performance monitoring and extensive support for Windows 7 devices.
