NACD Unveils New Online Learning Portal, NACD U

ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwired - July 08, 2015) - Today, the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) proudly announces the launch of its new online education center, called NACD U, for chemical distributor employees ranging from hourly workers to senior management.

More than 70 courses are now available through NACD U focusing on areas such as transportation, facility process safety, business skills, environmental and waste disposal management, chemical product safety, international regulations, security and more. Over the coming months, NACD will continue to grow its offerings, including custom-built courses on NACD Responsible Distribution®, the association's mandatory third-party-verified environmental, health, safety, and security program.

"NACD U is strategically positioned to offer e-learning courses at a much lower cost and provide better results than traditional training programs," stated NACD President Eric R. Byer. "We are thrilled to launch this new and exciting opportunity for professional development to our members and other stakeholders in the chemical supply chain, and we are confident NACD U will add value to their employees and companies as a whole."

The benefits of the new system include training for every level of employee at low cost, when they want it and where they want it. Each course is short, lasting only 30-60 minutes. Students can access the courses at their convenience -- learning at the office, at home, or on the road and courses can be paused, saved, and completed at the user's convenience on a computer, phone, or tablet. Lastly, transcripts are readily available to students to track past and current course completions and download certificates of completion. NACD U can be accessed directly through the NACD website; members receive a 10% discount on all courses.
