ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwired - August 19, 2014) - ChemEdge, the leading chemical distribution operations and management conference in the United States, is getting underway today with record attendance and exhibitor participation. Held from August 19-22 in Nashville, Tenn., the conference is the National Association of Chemical Distributors' (NACD) flagship event. Celebrating its 25th year, this event has provided critical information to NACD members and others in the chemical distribution industry so they can manage complex regulatory and operational issues affecting their operations and growth.

Opening the conference, NACD President Eric R. Byer will highlight a variety of new member benefits and educational opportunities the association is developing to help members grow their business and leadership skills. He will also outline how the association is boosting its social media presence and revamping its online presence.

Additionally, President and CEO of Brown Chemical Co. and NACD Treasurer Doug Brown will discuss the latest numbers on NACD's Responsible Distribution® program, the association's mandatory third-party verification environmental, health, safety & security program.
