NaiKun Deploys Wave and Current Monitor at Hecate Strait Permit Area BC-Based Oceanographic Firm Deploys ADCP Monitor

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 23, 2006) - NaiKun Wind Development Inc., ("NaiKun") (TSX VENTURE:NKW) announced today that it has initiated a wave and current measurement program at the NaiKun Wind Farm permit area in Hecate Strait. The BC-based oceanographic firm, ASL Environmental Sciences Inc. ("ASL") will monitor wave and current conditions at the site over the next six months.

On October 30, 2006, ASL installed an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) to measure current velocities and wave heights, periods and directions. The instrument, contained within a trawl-resistant bottom frame, now sits on the seabed at a specific location on Dogfish Banks in Hecate Strait, between Haida G'waii (the Queen Charlotte Islands) and Prince Rupert on the British Columbia mainland.

"This ADCP deployment is the first of a series of studies that NaiKun will be undertaking in the Hecate Strait permit area in the coming months," said Ray Castelli, President of NaiKun Wind Development Inc. "Working with leading experts such as ASL will provide our company with valuable insights into the seabed, wave and current conditions and how they could impact our wind farm project," he added.

NaiKun Wind Development Inc. has been engaged in wind energy development in the Haida Energy Field off the coast of British Columbia since 2001. When fully operational, its five-phase 1,750 MW NaiKun Wind Farm will generate enough electricity to power 600,000 homes. Construction of Phase I is expected to begin in 2009. NaiKun Wind Development Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc. (NKW). Interested parties are invited to visit the company's website at www.naikun.ca.
