NAMI Montana and NetReflector Launch Mental Illness Recovery Survey System to Measure Patient Success

New Research Program Provides Direct Patient Feedback to Mental Health Advocates, Clinics, and Policy Makers

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - Jul 26, 2011) - NetReflector, a market research services and software company and NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Montana, a leading mental health advocacy organization, today announced the launch of an online Mental Illness Recovery Survey System which allows individuals receiving services from Montana's mental illness treatment system to report on the results of their treatment. NAMI Montana conceived of the program as a way to analyze Montana's mental illness treatment system from the patient's perspective. The survey is taken by patients on a computer at their mental health center. The survey results are reported on the NAMI Montana website where they can be viewed by patients, their families, treatment providers, and policy makers. This transparency provides a glimpse into the complex world that is Montana's mental illness treatment system. Individual patient information is kept strictly confidential. NetReflector researchers developed the system using VantagePoint®, the Company's survey and reporting software.

Matt Kuntz, NAMI Montana's Executive Director, said, "We're pleased to be able to partner with NetReflector to offer this survey system to the people of Montana. We believe that the data and insights that it generates will allow everyone involved with Montana's mental illness treatment system to see what we're doing right and see what needs to be improved. Every state can do this, and every state should."

This survey program is being applauded by policy makers at the national level. "It's always exciting to see Montanans leading the way in their fields," said Montana's senior U.S. Senator Max Baucus. "I'm proud of NAMI Montana for working to bring more transparency and public awareness to our mental health care system. Bringing this information to the public will help patients take more control of their treatment and help identify ways we can improve the system to work better for everyone."

"We're pleased that NAMI Montana chose NetReflector to implement this important program," said Jim Mantell, Vice President of Business Development for NetReflector. "Our VantagePoint® feedback platform, coupled with the expertise of NAMI Montana and our market research team, will uncover areas of opportunity to create better patient outcomes. This type of collaboration is a recipe for success that any organization can benefit from."
