Nancy Laird Joins FilterBoxx Board of Directors

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Aug. 24, 2011) - FilterBoxx Water & Environmental is pleased to announce that Ms. Nancy Laird has been appointed to the Board of Directors.

Ms. Laird is a corporate director with more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry; she has held senior executive positions in several energy companies. Her diverse background includes managing energy trading and marketing, midstream assets, information technology and environmental portfolios.

She serves as a director of several public companies – Keyera Corp., Alter Nrg Corp. and Synodon Inc. - and as a director of a provincial agency the Alberta Electric System Operator. She is also a former board member of Enerflex System Income Fund, Canetic Resources Trust, Canadian Oil Sands Trust, Alliance Pipeline Inc. and Sait Polytechnic. Ms. Laird also serves as the Chair of the Board of Calgary Technologies Inc., Director of Calgary Councelling Centre and a former board member of the United Way of Calgary, Hull Child and Family Services and the Calgary Health Region.

From 1997 to 2002, she served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Midstream of Encana Corporation, and of Encana's predecessor, PanCanadian Energy Corporation. She was formerly President of NRG Information Services Inc. and held various positions of increasing responsibility with Norcen Energy Inc., North Canadian Oils Inc., Canpet Marketing Limited and Shell Canada Ltd.
