Opus One Winery Pairs Unique Wines to Exclusive Menu at Grand

POINT CLEAR, AL--(Marketwire - January 28, 2011) - The award-winning creator of vintage wines, Opus One, is bringing an exclusive tasting menu to the Grand Hotel Marriott Resort, Golf Club & Spa on Friday, March 11, 2011. Opus One winemaker, Mike Silacci, will be on hand at the Gulf Coast resort to provide a more intimate look into the creation and history of the wine. Silacci and the Grand's heralded Chef Mike Wallace worked diligently to perfectly pair each vintage to locally grown innovative cuisine in a five-course meal that promises to complement each wine's unique taste.

Opus One, a Napa Valley winery specializing exclusively in red wines, chooses only two venues each year to host this special reception creating a rare opportunity for guests to meet Silacci and partake in some of the nation's highly acclaimed wines. A champagne reception begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by a seated dinner. During the evening, guests will also have the opportunity to purchase some of Opus One's highly allocated wines.
