Narrative Science Invited to Speak About Artificial Intelligence at SXSW Interactive

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - March 08, 2016) - Narrative Science, the leader in advanced natural language generation (Advanced NLG) for the enterprise, has been invited to speak at two sessions during the South by Southwest Interactive festival in Austin, TX on March 11th. Kristian Hammond, Chief Scientist of Narrative Science, will educate attendees on how the proliferation of data is fostering a new era of artificial intelligence successes. During both sessions, Hammond will share an overview of the current artificial intelligence landscape, including how Advanced NLG is improving business operations and our personal lives.

Entitled "Big Data & AI: Sci-Fi vs. Everyday Applications" and taking place on March 11th at 11 AM CT at ACL Live at The Moody Theater, the panel kicks off the series, "Umbel Presents Data Discoveries." Umbel, leading provider of a customer data platform, established the series to gather data-driven pioneers to discuss how big data, artificial intelligence and robotics are catalyzing a massive shift in emerging sectors. The panel is being moderated by Robin Goad, CMO of Lucid AI, and includes Hammond, Doug Lenat, CEO of Cycorp, and Rayid Ghani, Research Director of the Center for Data Science & Public Policy University of Chicago. The discussion will center around the future potential for AI and data, what's already in development, potential dangers and how this will impact consumers.

The panel aims to bring together technology thought leaders to shine light on the growing role of data and innovation in financial services.
