NASA Renews Discussions With EMTI Subsidiary AWE Engineering Regarding Showcasing of the AWE Technology in NASA's 'SPINOFF' Magazine

TUCSON, AZ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 18, 2005 -- Environmental Technologies International, Inc. (OTC: EMTI) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, AWE Engineering, Inc., (Air, Water, Energy) has once again been contacted by the Publishers of the NASA SPINOFF Magazine to include the AWE technology in its next issue. AWE had discussions with NASA SPINOFF Publishers earlier in the year but was unable to meet the crucial deadline. The desire to include AWE technology in the next NASA SPINOFF has been ongoing. With the needs for residential units in hurricane damaged areas such as New Orleans, Biloxi, Gulfport and other areas in the region the interest is now greater than ever. To be included in such a prestigious publication that is read internationally by decision makers at the most senior levels of corporations and government bodies is a compliment of the highest level for AWE. The President and Inventor of AWE, Mr. Doug Johnson, commented, "This will open doors for us internationally, faster than any form of advertising and promotion. We never anticipated reaching the international market as quickly as what now seems likely, once NASA SPINOFF tells ours story. We are honored to be working with them on the upcoming article, defining in greater detail not only our commercial unit, but now our residential unit as well."

SPINOFF

NASA's flagship publication, SPINOFF, showcases the transference of valuable, NASA-developed technology from the Space Program to important non- "space exploration" uses around the globe. Intended to highlight the value of "spin-off" technologies from the space program, the publication is distributed globally to governments, scientific & educational institutions, and business & industry.

The AWE Technology

The AWE technology represents a quantum leap over conventional building HVAC and energy-management systems, offering the potential to dramatically improve the workplace/living environment while capturing significant savings for commercial building owners/operators. The technology offers improvements to Indoor Air Quality, minimization of Building Mold, Electricity Savings, and production of High-Purified Water. Protected by patents, the technology includes a modification of the ingenious Thermosyphon Heat Transfer Loop developed by NASA and to this day used by NASA to transfer the extreme heat and cold from one part of the space shuttle to another -- virtually instantaneously! Since the NASA patents expired, AWE (Air, Water, Energy) Engineering Inc. has adapted and modified the technology for commercial use in a wide variety of buildings.

A Potential Multibillion-Dollar Market

The intended use of AWE's proprietary technology in building heating/cooling, energy, and water systems is global in scope, and is estimated to exceed many billions of dollars. In addition, the system also produces pure water for use by building tenants. It is a leading-edge technological advance which, when developed for building-environment control systems, is expected to find broad acceptance owing to the fact that the savings in building maintenance/operations garnered by the system will in fact pay for itself many times over.
