-- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 7, 2005 --

Dear Colleagues,

In honor of Pope John Paul II's funeral tomorrow NASDAQ will not have a market open ceremony. Instead of the market open image at 9:30 a.m. your producers can take our Tower which will include a photo of the Pope and a memorial message. The feed can be picked-up through Waterfront 1623.

Also, I wanted to flag the attached press release that was issued yesterday. NASDAQ will hold a moment of silence at 11:00 a.m. asking the trading community to refrain from trading in memory of the Pope.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
